Cape House Guidelines and Policies
Cape House welcomes guests to our bed and breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake. To ensure an enjoyable and comfortable stay, we ask that you review our policies.
RESERVATIONS: A Visa or MasterCard credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. A 50% deposit of the cost of your entire reservation is required at time of booking.
MINIMUM STAY: In order to assure that we provide the best possible service for our guests we have established a 2-night minimum stay rule.
OCCUPANCY: Each of our 3 guest rooms sleep a maximum of two (2) adult guests. We do not accept guests under the age of 18.
CHECK IN: Our check-in window is 4:00pm to 6:00pm only. We are not available for check-in or baggage drop-off prior to 4:00pm. If your itinerary won’t permit you to arrive before 6:00pm you must seek our approval for a later check-in when you book your room. Please be aware that not all such requests can be accommodated.
CHECK OUT: is no later than 10:00 am
CANCELLATIONS: If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us at least 14 days in advance for a refund, less a cancellation fee of C$50.00 per room.
Date changes are considered a cancellation.
If you cancel within 14 days and we are unable to re-book your room or if you do not arrive (see NO SHOW POLICY) the entire cost of your reserved stay will be charged to your credit card.
NO-SHOW POLICY: Your reservation is guaranteed until 6:00PM. If you have not arrived by 6:00pm and not advised us of a delay in transit, your reservation may be considered a no-show. Any money paid and pending will be forfeit and your reservation will be cancelled and your room released for re-sale.
TRIP CANCELLATION AND INTERRUPTION INSURANCE: It is strongly recommended that all guests arrange private Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance that matches their needs when booking their holiday. This coverage protects you financially in case of illness or an unexpected event that forces you to cancel your trip. Not all credit cards offer this benefit.
PAYMENT: Rates are in Canadian dollars and are subject to the 13% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). VISA, MasterCard, cash or Interac e-transfer (CDN Banks) accepted
BREAKFAST: Breakfast is served daily in the dining room. Join the other guests at 8:30 for a home cooked breakfast ranging from Eggs Benedict, Vegetarian Quiche to individually Baked Pancakes. Fresh baked croissants are often served with our in-house homemade Cherry Jam! Menu changes daily.
BOTTLED WATER NOT PROVIDED: As part of our efforts to reduce the use of single use plastics, bottled water is not provided. Please bring your personal re-useable water bottles.
SMOKING: Smoking of any kind (including e-cigarettes and cannabis) is NOT permitted anywhere on the property.
PETS: Pets/animals of any kind are not permitted.
